Last Halloween a friend of my sister's had me make him a Bat Man suit, (not to be confused with a Batman suit.) It was a cute, no-sew idea he had, so I thought I'd share it.

AT THE MARKET:
This Saturday is the first day of the Canandaigua winter market. I'll be there with stew starters, pumpkins on a stick, beeswax tapers, and some sunflowers...yes, I said sunflowers. They survived the frost, so I'll actually have a few bunches of those on Saturday.

I had someone request the rest of the Gimli costume, so I went ahead and posted all the remaining Gimli costume tutorials, instead of spreading them out over several weeks. So you get 3 costume how-to's this week. Hope you all enjoy.

This is a pepakura tutorial guest filmed and narrated (mostly) by my brother (he's not used to doing this for film, so it got a little long).

AT THE MARKET:
The Victor market is officially done for the season, but there's one more Canandaigua market under the pavilion this Saturday (and then we move to the parking lot behind the Byrne dairy the first week in November for the winter market). If it doesn't freeze, I might still have a few flowers, though they're slow to open in the cold weather, so might not be enough to do anything with. I'll also have a fresh batch of beeswax tapers, pumpkins on a stick, flowered gourds and the last of my bittersweet cutting. And since it's the Saturday before Halloween, I'll probably be in costume!

AT THE MARKET:
I should actually have a fairly decent flower spread at the Canandaigua market this weekend. My late patch is finally coming into bloom, and with the rain and warm weather combo we've been having, they're popping open nicely. And I'll have some more flowered gourds, bittersweet, pumpkins on a stick, and broom corn wreaths and swags. Also next Wednesday, the 26th is the final Victor market of the season and if it doesn't freeze between now and then, I should still have a nice spread of sunflowers. So grab a final Victor sunflower bunch, and bring the kids down in their costumes to trick or treat at the vendor tables...I'll be the one dressed as Princess Leia!

AT THE MARKET:
Flowers are probably still a going to be a bit sparse this weekend. I'm hoping those last few patches of sunflowers kick in, and maybe pop the daliahs with the cooler weather, but with it being so dry, I don't know if they'll amount to much. So in their absense, I've had a bit more time to work on autumn decor. Look for broom corn wreaths and swags, flowered gourds, pumpkins on a stick, a fresh batch of beeswax tapers, and maybe a few halved/peeled squash.

AT THE MARKET:
I'll be a bit sparse on flowers at the market this weekend. I'm between sunflower patches and the mixed flowers have just about had it due to the dry weather all year. I will, however, have the first of my little flowered gourds (mostly green), broom corn wreaths, swags, and stalks; my pumpkins on a stick, a few copies of The Witching Hour to get you in the mood for October, and maybe even my first dried flower wreath of the season. See ya at the markets!

AT THE MARKET:
This week I actually do have fresh-cut broomcorn with me (know I've been saying it for a couple weeks now, but I really did get a change to finally cut it this week). I'll also have my usual flower bouquets, a fresh batch of greeting cards, and a fresh batch of soap, including some seasonally appropriate ones. And if they orange up enough by the weekend, look for the first of my pumpkins on a stick!
